3. Legal Bases for Processing (for EU / UK & similar jurisdictions)

When processing personal data of individuals in jurisdictions like the European Union or the UK, Cairrot relies on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity — to perform our obligations under agreements with you

  • Consent — where you have given us clear consent for specific processing

  • Legitimate interests — for internal business purposes (e.g. improving our Services, security), unless overridden by your rights

  • Legal obligation — to comply with laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements

We will always inform you of the applicable legal basis when collecting your data (where required).

4. Disclosure and Sharing

We may disclose personal information under the following circumstances:

  • Affiliates and Corporate Transfers. If Cairrot is merged, acquired, or sells assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction (subject to protective measures).

  • Legal & Safety. We may disclose data to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights, or prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.

  • Aggregated or De-identified Data. We may share aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies individuals.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless otherwise required by law.
When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

For accounts that are closed, we may retain certain information for a limited duration strictly for recordkeeping, security, or legal compliance.

7. Security

We take appropriate administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit (e.g. TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, audit logs, regular security reviews, and staff training.

However, no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because Cairrot operates globally, personal information may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your jurisdiction (e.g. the U.S.). We will ensure such transfers are subject to safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions).

By using our Services, you consent to these transfers, subject to applicable law.
